Artist StatementMy intentions are to express life saved from the common place and wrenched out of ordinariness. It becomes an act of converting sights to marks , and through impassioned gestures, attempting to manifest a presence of human elements within that space.

Creative ProcessThrough multiple miniature sketches, and reorganizing elements for color and compositional development, towards larger improvisations of gestures that might pull lyrical forms out by transcribing or inventing these new forms. By making a new thing in my painting, i have to start with something i know specifically. |
